People who are in the MLM business are usually considered to be quite persistent and insistent. Well, the business plan itself requires that these people try to network with as many people as possible so that they can expand their networks and hence their business potentials!

They cannot help the networking. However, this can seriously backfire! If you try to aggressively market your network marketing plan to a bunch of people who are least interested in what you are trying to tell, you will obviously meet with stiff opposition and even resentment.

The result could be that people will try to avoid touching you with a bargepole at any future events. So, what is the solution? How can you build a network of people without networking with them?

The answer is not as contrived as it might seem. Ever heard of targeted leads? MLM businesses – all businesses – routinely strive to get as many targeted leads for their businesses as possible. What are these targeted leads then?

To put it very simply, targeted leads are leads from people who are interested in the business plan you are selling. These people already have an interest and inclination to take up such an opportunity.

The groundwork has been done. Only, now you need to convince them to join your business network. That should not be much of an uphill task considering that they are already looking for such a venture to join in.

The Internet has made it very simple to find targeted leads directly. Blogging is an excellent method to do this. When you blog, you attract people who are interested in the topic being discussed on the blog.

Most of the blog websites have superb search engine optimization; therefore, anybody who searches for that particular topic is liable to end up on the blog. See the difference? The prospect was searching for such an opportunity and then reached your blog. Isn’t that a much better raw material to push them your opportunity?

Another way of getting targeted MLM leads is through article marketing. Most MLM leaders are associated with this activity today, because of the simplicity and inexpensiveness of it. Write a few articles relating to your business, submit them to article directories and put a link of your business website below the article.

Wait and watch! Everyone from all over the world who will be searching for anything about your business is liable to reach your article, read it and then click through it to your website. You are getting traffic of people who are genuinely interested in your activity.

The next time you plan a campaign for building traffic to your business website, do not think general. Think targeted. These are the people who will make the real difference to your network marketing business.
